Empress dental veneer, or e-max, is a type of surgical veneer used in dentistry. It is created as a result of making the ceramic tooth coating material durable with glass ceramic without using metal. For this reason, it has the ability to maintain a very high shape and gives a very good aesthetic result on tooth surfaces.
It is usually applied to the teeth located in the front. This application is also known as full ceramic or full porcelain coating.
Who is the Emax – Empress Coating Applied to?
Emax is used to have more aesthetic looking teeth. This coating material is created by processing the porcelain material under high pressure. It is a dentistry treatment method that is frequently used because it has a structure close to the natural tooth color. It is preferred especially in cases where veneer is required on the front teeth so that the naturalness is not deteriorated.
It is used in smile design to eliminate the size or color difference between the teeth and to provide harmony between the teeth. It is generally preferred in cases involving a single tooth. Empress veneer treatment can be performed on teeth that are worn, discolored, yellowed due to age or drug use.
It can also be applied to the posterior teeth, but it is not preferred to be applied to large teeth such as molars. Empress veneer is not used in people whose teeth have been cut.
In addition, this application is not suitable for use as a bridge in patients with missing teeth.
Empress (Emax) How Long Does the Coating Take?
