Porcelain Lamina

Porcelain lamina, also known as leaf lamina, is a material used in dentistry and is applied especially on the upper surfaces of the teeth. This material is preferred by many people because it can be applied without thinning the teeth. It is preferred to improve the aesthetic appearance of the teeth or to repair the deteriorated structure. This application may not be applied to people with nail biting and dental problems.

Porcelain laminates are 0.3 – 0.7 mm thin sheets of material. After being applied to the upper surface of the teeth, an appearance similar to the real appearance of the tooth is obtained and at the same time protects the teeth. It has a transparent and light transmitting structure like natural tooth structure. There is no abrasion on the teeth such as cutting or filing as in other treatments. Only mild abrasion is performed on the tooth surface where the porcelain lamina leaves will be placed and adhesion is ensured. The treatment time is short as no heavy applications are performed. It can be completed in 5-6 days for healthy mouths that do not require any other additional treatment.
